Its that time of year again. Time to prepare to visit the New York Botanical Gardens as they produce their annual orchid show. See link below.

This reminds me of the time when I thought an orchid chandelier would be a great show display idea. White candles surrounded by Dendrochillums and Holcoglossum wangii's. I think I may need to draw a picture of that.
I didn't like it this year.
I think it has the least amount of orchid plants and the giant chandelier was, well, not so pretty, to say the least.
I understand they want to try something different as this is a annual thing and some people might find it boring, but I think it's still great to go see a whole bunch of colorful flowers in bloom while it is so ugly and cold outside. a treat!
I enjoyed the show more so than other years. I thought the way they were doing it was boring. Since they really don't exhibit orchid species, I thought this was a great setup to draw interest. I have pics which I will post this week.
