28th NY International Orchid Show 2008?
Does anyone have any inside information on the date of the 28th NY International Orchid Show?
I read in another forum that it is cancelled for the spring with the possibility of occurring in the fall of 2008.
I checked their website and have not found any information there.
Has anyone heard anything?
Thanks

D, I have no information but I did hear that if and when it does happen, it most likely won't be a Rock Center. I'll let you know if I hear anything else

Thanks Sue for keeping an eye and ear out for me
If anyone else knows of any shows in the NYC area this spring, I'd love to hear about them
Thanks again

I know of a few vendors here from CA that are not going to this show due to it being canceled. Or that is what they have been told, don't know about the spring show though.

WHHHHAAAAAAAAtTTTTTTTT!
Well if it is going to be moved, I really do hope it will be to the Gardens. Been in NYC for 24 years and still haven't gone to visit.
I hope they don't make me wait till the fall. That would suck.
I almost went to the NY Botanical Gardens last Spring becuase they had their own little orchid display show. I think it was in March. Could this be what you heard Dorothy?

I also went to the Botanical Gardens last spring to their Orchid Show .. no Tindo, I was talking about the GNYOS Orchid Show .. the one they had last year at Rockefeller Center in NYC .. it's cancelled for the spring and will most likely not be at the Rock in the fall when they will hopefully have their show .. I read that they might have it at the NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx but that is separate from the one the Garden puts on in the spring.

Tin, you have to get a trip to the NY Botanical Gardens into your schedule! It's beautiful! A friend's daughter had her wedding there two years ago and it was spectacular.

Sadly, I don't see any NYC show on the AOS list of events:

What a shame! I've been going to these shows since the 1980's. I can always order online or take a trip to the local vendors. (sigh)
