I never hide the plants, but I do disappear the price tags and invoices.

It's amazing how decent bark is almost unavailable in garden centers in the US.

I went today it was great! Reminded me of the (now no longer) Park Side Orchids show, which was one of the better ones I've been to. Today I only got one phrag, some sphag and some pot hangers. It was really crowded so I didn't have a lot of room to deliberate which was probably a good thing. Spent my allowance none the less

I came home with 15+ plants. I went on Friday when the pickings were fresh. Came home with more than anticipated, but still didn't spend as much as I thought I would. My biggest takeaway from the show as a lovely Eria rhynchostyloides (very hard to find by the way).

Does anyone have any pictures of the show, in the new venue? I didn't go this year because I'm going to Redland's next month.

I absolutely loved the SEPOS show when it was at Longwood - the glass greenhouses and the general atmosphere really made the orchid displays stand out. Since it was moved to the museum in Philadelphia, I found it harder to appreciate the displays. Not that I didn't like the displays, but the low lighting made it difficult to take decent pictures.

SEPOS has moved again. It is now at the Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA. I never went to the show at Longwood, so I cannot comment on that. I can say that the new venue is sooooo much better than the Natural History Museum of Drexel University which was in Downtown Philly.

It was a fun show. though for those of us loading in exhibits it was tight quarters. I was judging and everything was close together and easy to access.

This is SEPOS' first year in this new venue. I think next year will be even better.

One downside is that there was no auditorium, so no lectures. And Oaks is a pain to access for non-drivers; from Philly approx 2 hours each way (either 2 buses or a train and a bus).

Of course I was spoiled for the 3 years at the Academy of Natural Sciences, about a 25 minute walk from my home.

Kelly's Korner put a few photos on their Twitter feed. I thought the displays were beautiful but I agree it was tight quarters.

Ps.. I hope the link works. If not I can extract the pictures
