10:45-11:45am
Lecture: Parkside's Favorite Miniatures presented by Tom Purviance of Parkside Tom has gone through the greenhouses and selected several groups of plants, (not Phals, Paphs or J&L stuff) that have been very popular with us and our customers. He will take a close look at their culture and habit.

12-1:00pm Gourmet Lunch and Orchid Sales
In the early years at Parkside we did some great food/orchid events. We're in the mood to do some fancy cooking again.

1:00-2:00pm
Lecture: Mini but Mighty Phalaenopsis presented by Carri Raven-Riemann of Orchidphile Starting with the "building blocks" of this line of breeding, Carri will reveal some of the newest colors and smallest Phals seen this past year in Taiwan. These will include easy-to-grow minis from lesser used Phalaenopsis species, many of which will be available here for the first time.

2:00-2:15pm Afternoon Break and Snack.

2:15-3:00pm
Lecture: Miniature Paphiopedilums presented by John Salventi of Parkside
Even with the genus Paphiopedilums the hybridizers are attempting to join this trend toward miniaturization. Find out what species are being used and examples of some of the hybrids.

3:00pm Final Orchid Sales and opportunity to ask questions of the day’s presenters over wine and snacks.

Registration is required and includes continental breakfast, snacks, lunch and admission to all lectures throughout the day. Fee: $25 per person. Please register by October 29th. Click below to register

Default great idea!

Thanks for the heads up. I've gotten a lot of great plants at Parkside. Their green houses are immaculate and they are most helpful. And very patient, as I would go into sensory overload when I got there and it took a long time for me to finally pick something out to buy it. (They also have cute golden retrievers.)
