Here is an awesome example from Clown Alley. The ad says a 5" pot and yes it is a 5" but after digging out the 3 layers of pots and roots, this guy went into an 8" basket with coco-fibers, medium orchiata, and hydroton balls mixed together.
As you can see in the picture, the tallest growth is 24" and I counted 7 new growths (4 establishing and 3 nubs).
5" inch.... I had to use a hammer and pliers to get the pots out.
amabile is very similar to farmeri except that the blooms are blush pink with yellow-orange throat and the white tip lip.

Whoa.... I'm surprised that the roots didn't bust out of the pot on their own! Did you remove the other pot(s) in the root ball?
What a great vendor to give you such a large plant.

I'm taking pics as I repot. So far I've only found a few snails but that happens sometimes when the pots get overgrown.

It's going to take you a long time to repot all of those! Good luck.

Melissa's Memphis Orchid Society show haul
Clown Alley is near enough to me that I visit every 3-4 weeks (after my SS check comes ) John has a nice setup and lots of lovely plants to choose from, always in good condition. I recommend him quite highly.

How wonderful to have a good grower nearby! There's one near me, but not very good quality.
Clown Alley was one of the growers we could have used for the most recent plant project, but he didn't have enough of whatever plant candidates he had.
