Tamiami International Orchid Show South Miami Fl Jan 29-30
Tamiami International Orchid Show South Miami Fl Jan 29-30 will be the biggest orchid show in Florida this year.
With over 40 vendors and 10 affiliate product vendors it is my favorite.
The Miami International show has been canceled this year so this is it.

Actually the Redlands Orchid Festival in may is much larger, but they are both good shows to attend.

The Redlands Orchid sale is about the same size but it is not an Orchid Show. It is a very good sales event. It does not have the elaborate displays and specimen orchids you will see at a big show.
We display at both.
Redlands is normally the second weekend in May

I dunno, last year they had 3 tents and a ton of displays. Most folks go to shows to purchase orchids, and the Taimiami Intl Orchids show had less than half the vendors as the Redlands Festival.
If I had to choose one over the other, I'd choose the Redlands one. JMHO

Almost as many vendors at Tamiami now
Hey Ants:
I am not sure if you had a chance to visit the website, but you'll see that the Tamiami International Orchid Festival now has nearly as many vendors as the Redland International Orchid Festival. Sure, if a gun was at your head and you had to choose attending one, I wouldn't blame you for choosing Redland. If you can go to both, however, Tamiami is your best bet until May comes around.

South Florida has many good orchid shows and there are lots of high quality commercial growers at all of them. Delray, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tamiami, Redlands, they're all good. Not to mention some of the premiere growers in the country are located down here and you can visit them whenever there isn't a show. There is ample opportunity to spend those orchid dollars.

I'm very partial to Andy's orchids and He will be at the Tamiami show. Looking forward to the show.

This is a resurrection of last years thread. The show this year is Jan 28-29, one week after the Fort Lauderdale show.
