One more day of waiting to go!

And the Weather is supposed to be OK tomorrow, which is nice!

MAN what a great day!!!

Just spent several hours hanging out with OB members - so not only got to admire and buy some amazing orchids, but got to talk and talk and talk about them too! SO much fun.

The orchid society displays were unreal!! I'll have to create an album, as I have too many pics to post here!
I felt completely overexcited when I first arrived - I just wanted to see everything, all at the same time!

Before we left the East Midlands orchid society arrived and set up the most amazing display mounting the majority of orchids on tree trunk posts, and a stunning twisted branch. Truly amazing.

Fantastic, exhausting day all round.

So - I came home with 4 orchids, which was quite restrained. A Phal Mini Mark, and a Dendrobium Polar Fire, both in bloom. And a Cattleya mossiae, and a Miltoniopsis Anneville which has 2 buds, so might actually get to see the flowers soon!

Rosie and Michelle - I'm looking forward to seeing your pics too; I didn't see all your purchases before they got wrapped up!

Great to meet you and Michelle. Wasn't it great to sit and talk to others about orchids

It was such an amazing day. I agree about that one from the East Midlands Orchid Society. A really fantastic display! I hope my pics of it came out OK.

I wasn't as restrained and came home with eight. They are now adorning my mantle piece and all arround the fireplace.

Oh yeah and you know I said I wasn't going to get Catts as I'm not ready for them yet... well when I got home I rememered reading something about Sophrontis being recalsified as Cattleya... and I checked here, and so I DID buy a Cattleya after all


I will be posting my pics soon... just spent most of the evening taking more of the orchids I bought and I still haven't got them off my camera.
