ORCHIDS at Greenfest 2010 in Tampa this weekend!

I'm not sure what vendors will be there (won't be all orchids) but Ido know that Phelps Farm Orchids will be there...and I think Laura and I will have to go check it out

Phelps will be there all weekend selling lots of great Orchids. The sale is at the NW corner of Kennedy Blvd and the river and we are set up at the cul-de-sac closes to Kennedy. Just look for their big black banner with a purple Orchid on it.

We're going, we're going!

So, the weather was gorgeous...I was with 2 of my favorite people, my hubby and Laura,...strolled around the show, saw some great stuff...and the first place I stopped was Phelps Orchids

My good friend Laura felt the need to point out a few that she thought I needed...and I wholeheartedly agreed so I came home with:

an awesome Den anceps! This thing is huge and covered in keiki and buds and blooms!

I always seem to find really cool Phal species and crosses at Phelps...I love it

Today, a Phal Christine Magro (Phal equestris x javonica) jumped into my arms...all 5 spikes worth!

along with a Phal Cassandra (Phal equestris v. aurea x stuartiana, which happen to be 2 of my favorite species), also found it's way into my arms

I also picked up a really nice bare-root Slc India Rose Sherwood, which will be a gorgeous red

The show continues tomorrow although the weather isn't supposed to be quite as perfect as it was today. If you're in the area and looking for a little something to do, you might want to check it out.

Very nice acquisitions, Sue.

I went on saturday. I bought myself a Zygo. Artur Elle and a Paph. Alice Barrios. The zygo came from Phelps and the paph came from an elderly lady (her stand was in the southwest section of the festival, next to a hibiscus vendor, near the entrance. Do you know what her company's name was?)

I just realized that we could have met, or that we may have run into each other unknowingly. Oh, well.

I'll try to make it to that show. The lady I bought the paph from gave me a card that I can validate for a raffle ticket.
