Well, I arrived at the show with my wife at 10am sharp. This was my first orchid show and I cannot imagine any show being better! As Katie commented earlier, the show was absolutely first class, top-notch, AMAZING! The orchids were clearly the stars of the show
, but the organizers (SEPOS), the displays, the booth attendants, Longwood Gardens, retail participants and the general public all get Blue Ribbons in my book.
Everyone was super-friendly and just "sucking-in" the "show" that the orchids provided. Flash bulbs were bursting at all the displays. I only had the opportunity to spend 2 1/2 hours at the show as my son is very involved in baseball and we had a mid-afternoon committment. Two and a half hours was not enough! We literally could have spent all day and will do just that next year.
My time constraints severely limited the time that I could spend in the vendor tent so I couldn't peruse as thoroughly as I would have liked. I purchased a Phal. violacea var. Malaysia (seedling) and a Phal. Bellina (seedling) from Oak Hill. I purchased a multiflora Phal from Stony Brook Orchids that is called Pinlong Cheris 'Fragrance #2'. Big thumbs-up to Stony Brook!
Here are a couple pics of a Phal. equestris:

Much Thanks to SEPOS:
I have boatloads of more pics, just too many to post here. Hope you enjoyed!
