I went last year as well, and it was great, the venue (a greenhouse) was very nice I thought.

I too went last year and thought it was great, looking forward to going again this year.
I met one of the DC members at another nursery and she said it was a great organization, might check out their meetings.

I went here are some photos -
I enjoyed it but i was kind of tired and rushed. Wish I would have gotten earlier and bought a yellow Onc Twinkle. I got a Epc Rene Marques taht should bloom on the next growth but strangely in the potting medium there was soil... hmmm.
I loved some Lycastes on display and the guy that grows them advised me about potting orchids with really tight medium rather than using hooks. Just use the back of a hammer and press down.
Anyway can't grow those cool growing Lycastes.
There was a Den that i loved on display - the tag nearby said Den macrophyllum, but it is not.
I wish there were more species on sale rather than hybrids - would have loved an Onc ornythorhynchum but there was a Mtdm Rosy Sunset that I almost got but then I went for the Epc Rene Marques instead because I saw in the pat the Mtdm at Trader Joes for less and larger size.
Was surprised to see so many Onc Twinkles...
anyway
on the displays i wish i could see more of the plants/ growth rather than just the flowers and I could do without the frames around the bloom.
Maybe i prefer to look at plants in nature or on a shelf better. Loved the Ecuagenera table display...
but what I liked was really too pricey or needed cool temperatures.
anyway here are some images
