20th World Orchid Conference - Singapore?
So is anyone planning to go? They have created a website at the following link:
20th WOC - 20th WOC
Looks like an amazing venue, I may be going hopefully.

Interesting.... maybe, I could plan my holidays for 2011 in Singapore
Weird that the deadline for submission of Abstract is almost 2 years before the Congress... way too early (IMO)...

I'm probably to early with this post but I will raise it again closer to the time (unless someone else does). It is interesting that the Abstracts are so early as well, they must be really well organised.

well, but they call for scientific and horticultural abstract... any "novelty" discovery or trend, would be more or less obsolte by the time of the congress... I do not see the point of it...

Ah I see, I have to be honest and say I didn't know what Abstracts were (I thought maybe they were something guest speakers submitted).
You make a very good point.

an Abstract is the summary of the presentation... normally, in a scientific context, people bring something new to a congress, something not yer published... two years in advance is therefore quite a lot! I hope they have made a mistake, and it should be 2010!

I think I will be attending the show! A group from Canada are traveling there in November, should be an indredible trip. Very exciting.

I was very fortunate to make it to the 19th here in South Florida. Actually it was my very first show ever. It was incredible. I was very new to orchids at the time and really didn't appreciate the size of it until I went to other shows.
I hope you all have a great time. And of course we expect LOTS AND LOTS of PHOTOS. capital letters for emphasis. lol.
