Tamiami International Orchid Show Jan31-Feb 1
Is anyone going to the Tamiami Show this weekend? It is a great show, not too big, indoors, and free parking! Come on OB members! Don't you want some new orchids?

Looks like it's going to be you and me only eh? I plan to go on Saturday, right when they open in the morning. I have never been to this particular show before, coming down from Coral Springs.
Cheers!

I going to try to make it on Sunday! I went last year and picked up a couple of 2 year old new crosses that haven't been seen yet!
Blc. Fringe Benefits x B. cuculiata
Den. Violet Yamaii x Den. spectabile
Both doing good.

Awesome! I am not sure yet when I will go. Saturday will have the freshest plants but Sunday will have the best prices (hence more orchids for my bucks).
Check out the schedule of speakers:

just a general question:
are prices generally lower the second say of the show? When I go to orchid shows I have always gone on the saturday, so I do not know what does on the second day. lol

Yes, the vendors start reducing the prices at about 2pm on Sunday. This is especially true for anyone that has to travel far or go back through customs. So I got some great prices last year from the Hawaiian vendors. Local vendors don't have the same motivation.
