Orchid Show Nov 21-23 at AOS!!

I am so excited about the show tomorrow! I will send a pm to everyone who was interested to remind them to be there. Let's try to meet about 12 noon near the front doors. Either just outside or inside the lobby. I will be the lady wearing jeans with the short reddish hair . Lorraine will have the orchid purse and David will have the Black Pearl !!! See you tomorrow!

I caught up with Susan, David and Sandy. Lots of Vendors and beautiful plants. I saw, I drooled and I bought. Carmela's had some really nice size plants 5 for $40. Picked up 3 for me and 2 for a friend. He'll be really happy. Here I was posting a reminder to bring cameras and batteries and left mine at home. Thanks to Susan & David at least there is proof we were all there. They brought their cameras and I even live closeby and left it on the table Next show is in Jan. Ft. Lauderdale. I already have my wish list going. A couple chids I wanted were already sold out. I should have gone yesterday too. I'm sure I misssed a few.

I did get another new chid: Ascda Jackie Wood. This one was even delivered to me at home. Thanks Jackie I can't wait to see it bloom!

Found some nice supplies and will get these guys repotted tomorrow.

Sure was fun meeting other OB members.

David Congradulations on your Vanda I really liked the colors and all the blooms on it. Very beautiful. Glad you were able to bring it.

I had a great time today! The show was just the right size. Not too big, not too small! I also got plants at Carmela Orchids. I recieved a coupon when I joined AOS for $30 off a $100 purchase and Carmela's honored that coupon! So David and Lorraine helped me pick out $100 worth of plants (which I paid $70 for). It was awesome! I got:

Ascda Su-Fun Beauty 'Orange Belle' AM/AOS
Oncda Charlesworthii 'Mishima'
Eplc Volcano Trick 'Fireball'
Vuyl Fall in Love 'Lovely Lady'
Epc Rene Marques 'Tyler' (only $7 so I got 2)
Vanda Ratrirat 'Red' x Vanda Dr Anek 4n 'Red'

All in spike except the Tylers and the vanda.

And I finally got the Phal violacea (phal bellina) that I having been looking for. It is the one with very colorful purple and light green flowers, good sized, 5 leaves, 1 spike with 1 flower and another spike that is about ready to bloom. I had to pay $40 for that one but I am very happy with it.

I had a great time meeting David, Lorraine, and Sandy from OB. I will post pics later!
