Thanks everyone!
I really did well. Like I always say "go late on Sunday for the good deals".
Sue, I went by the Motes booth on the way out (they are by the entrance/exit at every show). I always count on getting something special from him, plus a couple bare canes/bargains. Mary had gotten rid of a lot already but I saw the Neos and she said "Oh Marty will let you have the blooming one since it is so late" in here really cute British accent! So they let me have it for $10, with flowers, and there is actually 2 plants in the pot! The odorata was $15. The 2 loose ones .... I got both for $5 (no kidding).
The psychopsis was a big one It was only $18 because it was their last one (Out on a Limb). It had a split leaf, but I was able to repair it a bit with tape (I do that on all my big leaved plants). Plus it has a secondary growth/spike coming up from the roots about 3" tall!
The pots are fired so they are nicer than regular clay pots, with lots of holes and very heavy. $10 each.
I saw a beautiful phal violacea at Wu (I think) for $120, but I had to say no to that. Later I found a small one in very nice shape at Carter and Holmes for $10.
I got Motes newest Orchid growing book, too.
I met Gans at keiki pro!
So, it is well worth it to wait until the end of the show!
