Ann Arbor Orchid Society (Michigan) New Festival Date

The Ann Arbor Orchid Society is moving its annual Orchid Festival to a new date, in November. We've already had our festival this past spring, so this is a chance for us to have two festivals in one year. There will only be the fall date going forward.

The festival will be November 18 and 19. Admission is free, but the Matthaei Botanical Gardens does charge a parking fee.

I'm generally back in Michigan a couple times a year. I've never been to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Are they nice?

Hi SG. Hmm, I'm not sure why you would not be able to use the link in my post above. I just tried it again to be sure, and it takes me right to the AAOS website. But I'm no computer expert and often find myself frustrated at the many ways these devices plot to make us crazy.

If you haven't already tried this, the direct address of our society's website is annarbororchidsociety.org. They also have a Facebook page, and there are some photos of the festival displays.

The Matthaei Botanical Gardens are a part of the University of Michigan and definitely worth a visit if you're in the Ann Arbor area.

Yeah, no idea why I can't get in. Maybe because I'm outside the US and it doesn't allow that? In any case I'll have to make a point of visiting next year. It's a bit of a drive from Macomb county where I stay but I think my sister might enjoy it too.

They might have an overly restrictive firewall setting on Cloudflare, which may or may not be intentional. FWIW I can't access the AAOS web site from here either (I'm in Canada).
