Fascination of Orchids International Festival
Fascination of Orchids International Festival of Orchids and Exotic Plants is coming up soon for all you southern California residents! September 22,23,24 at the Santa Ana Zoo. The entry fee is for the Zoo (show is free with Zoo admission), and there's a deep discount for advance purchase tickets.Also, there will be a special gate for those with advance tickets, so no need to wait in line. See the Show website OCorchid.com for more information. Vendor list will be up soon.

Not sure when list will be actually posted, but I did some asking around. Highlights beyond the usual: Ecuagenera, Tropical Exotique (Manote Quah, usually some really unusual species), Fang Hua Garden (Chinese Cymbidiums), Sorella Orchids (always some interesting things), Wilson Orchids (Taiwan - usually a lot of species Phals among other things). These are the ones where I expect to do my shopping.

Is this the final vendor list or will there be additional vendors added? Surprised not to see SVO on the list although I generally now buy from SVO during their open houses.

Question was raised about Phal gigantea. Wilson Orchids has Phal gigantea alba seedlings. Around $20.
