Thanks! Glad you enjoyed. I enjoy doing those presentations.

My cork collection I have been accumulating over lots of years... society auctions, "legacies" from elderly/deceased growers, etc., friends cleaning out the garage. Andy's Orchids sells some (call for info), Santa Barbara Orchid Estate also sells it (call). I found this Make your orchids happy by choosing Cork Mounts by searching for "cork slabs for orchids" which looks like an excellent source for variety. Best deal would probably be to get a big one and cut smaller pieces. Also this one Cork Bark - OrchidSupply.com . I don't know what the going prices are these days... I expect a lot higher than in the past but such is life.

Thought about going again today but don't want to buy anything else right now. Huntington show coming up in a few weeks and I'm starting to run out of space. Also considering going to SVO's or Andy's winter open house.

Purchased three plants: Procatavola Key Lime Stars, the Cochleanthes discolor I posted about in Maxillaria forum and Dendrobium findlayanum.

You can probably grow the Den. findlayanum outside all year hanging from a tree.

Running out of room? There is always room for one more orchid... The Cochleanthes will likely do fine outside for you, if given a bit of shade and maybe close to the house or a block wall in winter. The Baker sheet for the species gives a temperature range in habitat of 43 deg F to 86 deg F, but if it has just a bit of shelter, can do fine with a much wider range... mine has experienced lows below freezing (the great freeze of 200602007) and highs up to 109 deg F. (Not often but it has definitely seen warm days) I got it in 2005 and it is still going strong. So a very robust and forgiving species.

That was what I was planning on doing.

Right now it's in a temporary pot but will probably repot tomorrow with bark/pumice mixture and then see if I have space for it somewhere outdoors in an area that is shaded.
