DVOS 2020 July 16 - Dave Sorokowski, Multifloral Paphs Male
Default DVOS 2020 July 16 - Dave Sorokowski, Multifloral Paphs

Dave Sorokowski from Paph Paradise near Sacramento, California, will be speaking on Multifloral Paphs via Zoom online to a joint meeting of the Desert Valley Orchid Society of the greater metro Phoenix, Arizona area, and the Tucson Orchid Society, on Thursday, July 16.

Our June meeting was held with our group physically present. It was broadcast via Facebook Live, recorded and posted to our club's Facebook page, and all were invited to attend. This time we will not be recording the meeting, and it will not be available later.

Our clubs have purchased 100 Zoom seats for this event, and only members of the two societies may attend the Zoom meeting. Because of uncertainty about the meeting situation in the future, we might have future meetings online, or we might not.

People who join the DVOS now may attend this, and potential future Zoom meetings we hold. We will give priority at this meeting to current members of both clubs, then take new members up to the 100 maximum.

See details in the next message for joining the DVOS. There is no US mail today, Sunday, so mail the check tomorrow, Monday.

The business portion of our meeting will begin at 6:30 pm local time. Dave will speak when we have finished with that, about 7 pm local time.

Arizona is in the Mountain time zone, but does not observe Daylight Saving Time. In the summer we are on the same time as California, Pacific Daylight Saving Time, GMT -7.
