September came and the record-shattering heat wave ended completely, but it left a bunch of casualties in its wake.
Angraecum didieri
Calanthe vestita
Coelogybe assamica
Cymbidium tortisepalum var. longibracteatum
Cym. kanran
Den. dichaeoidea
Den. ochraceum
Den. subuliferum
Phal. bellina
Phal. amabilis
Some of them are heat-loving plants, but the scorching high night temperature above 30 deg. C waa too much for them that they got weakened to fell to the fungal infection...
Ironically, my Masdevallias survived: I evacuated them to my office where air conditioning would keep them around 27 degrees C. Now they have returned, and are growing happily now.
Btw, my Catt. labiata has lost much of its roots, and Catt.(Laelia) purpurata has a rotten pseudobulb. Thankfully they are recovering for now....
