Default Kusamono order arrived!

I just received my order from Kusamono, placed back in Nov. Sadly I didn't order early enough, and got a refund on the Cypripedium debile I ordered. But this will keep my mind off the disappointment:

What medium do you use for Spiranthes? Kusamono Gardens recommend kanuma, pumice or perlite +/- sphagnum moss.

I use a 50/50 mix of sand and peat for Spiranthes.

Thanks. The roots just don't look like a large-particle medium would be right.

I was lucky ( it seems ) enough to get a debile. Growth is about 1/2 inch already. Hopefully I can keep it going through Summer.

I got some consolation when I unpacked the single Pogonia japonica I ordered. It was a tangled mass that unwound into 6 divisions, some with multiple growth points! I needed 2 pots to fit it all!

I recently got a clump of cyclopogon lindleyanum potted up in potting soil. I may have to report if it looks like it's going downhill.
