Like many other people I watered my orchids yesterday. Since it was a beautiful sunny day I took the Neos to the sink to give their mounds a nice drench, and put them back in the sun to dry. And I just enjpyed them; looking who had blooms starting to open, who has buds forming on spikes, who is going to need a repot in the spring. I also discovered that the mealy bugs are back... I'm going to have to try to nip them in the bud before they spread too much again.

It's early here yet, so this is what I will do later today. I will water the couple that need watering about every other day. I will check to see if any others need watering. I will admire the pretty white flowers on one of my phals, and look at the buds on a second phal, the oldest of which should be opening any day now. Oh, and I will stare forlornly at a couple of my oncidiums which are way past due for putting up spikes, IMO, at least. And, finally, I will wonder again if I have any more space to buy another small orchid or two when the spring orchid shows start up soon, as if staring at my growing space will somehow, magically, cause it to get bigger.

Yep, what I need is a stable wormhole that provides me access to a parallel universe.

Today I watered a paph leannum and an Oncidium hybrid. Also looked to the weather forecast to decide when to water two of my phals, a Cattlianthe and my Onc. twinkle.
Also got an e-mail informing me that the Coelogyne lawrenceana I was interested in is not available anymore.

Warm rain happening today and expected for the coming week, so all of my plants have moved back outdoors.
