No, but I will check on the project every now and then and see all the cute new orchids. I really look forward to when everyone is showing off blooms.

I have too many plants right now: 50-60 orchids and 40 other houseplants. So many temptations.....

I am going to edit my original post as well (for ease).

But so far for sources:

Andys orchids (must call him for availability but he does have some rupiculous laelias).

Fred Clark Sunset Valley orchids

Orchid trail has a number of rupiculous laelias listed Orchid Trail: Orchid Species and Hybrids

Miranda Orchids has a few listed for sale (mirandaorchids.com)

Santa Barbara orchid (Santa Barbara Orchid Estate Home Page) appears to have several listed but requires a call for availability.

Carter and Holmes

Cschaz on eBay has been reported to be a good source as well.

Hopefully this will help some people join

Should we make a member project thread in the projects section?

The one on Carter & Holmes says it's not "suitable for windowsill or under artificial lights"... I hope that's not gonna be a problem if I'd be growing it under artificial lights anyway.

I think it's possible to grow catts under lights. Maybe that's because the spikes can reach 1 m long.

I grow some cattleyas under lights with no problems. I think the rupiculous laelias need to be very close to the lights is what I've read from people who grow them successfully under lights.
