camille: I have had the same vendor issues as well; even from orchid shows! (some of mine came with all their roots already rotted!)

btw, is that phal type den growing in wood? I recieved one as a gift, an it was growing a a piece of log- which was squeezed into a pot :S lol

My first orchid was bought at a garden show. The sales person saw me coming and I spent over $60 for a phal. But I loved the flowers and was hooked. It died 3 months later. That's when I thought I could rescue all those orchids from HD. At least 50% of those also died. That was a summer of learning. Glad I stuck it out. Now there are over 65 orchids and the addiction continues.

Default Gee, that's funny, I don't know what an

epiphylic is either. Just kidding, Gin. It didn't make a difference if I knew how to spell it or type it either. I was just a born orchid killer.
