Default Sometimes, they talk back...

So, those of us deep in the throws of addiction have all had various discussions with our plants. Most of the time, the plants do not respond.

There are other times, when the plants talk to us and we don't respond. That's when they resort to shouting...

I am pretty sure, at this point, that my Eurychone rothschildiana is trying to tell me something. Something, maybe, along the lines of "GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!" but I'm not sure...

I think I will mount it soon...
What do you guys think?

I think the communication is loud and clear indeed. Plant looks healthy though.

It sure looks healthy.

Some questions from a recent Eurychone r. owner...
Is it in semi-hydroponics?
How long has it been in that pot?
I have read some people saying they do better in pots than mounted. Do other people have an opinion?

It currently is in semi-hydro and has been in since around last September or October? Last fall anyway. First month or so, it seemed to be fine with it and new roots went down into the LECA... but, as you can see, most now have reached for the stars and, what you can't see from the photo, is that the roots in the LECA are on the decline. This may be less of a pot issue and more that it just doesn't care for s/h.

I, of course, only have the one and not for a particularly long time so I can't say from experience. That said, I did also read it likes to be potted one place and that it likes to be mounted at another place. Mine will have to be a guinea pig!
