John, you are a lucky man indeed. Your daughter is a lovely young woman, and Joe is definitely a keeper!

I grew up in Chicago, but I don't remember ever seeing any Rent-A-Sloth stores in my neighborhood. We lived on the Southside, maybe the rich folks living Northside have special sloth stores I never heard about. Your daughter is beautiful and looks so very happy!

WoW!!!
Sloths are among my favorites. That, tarsiers/lorus (loris?) and polar bears, if anyone is interested.

This sounds like the most magical thing ever. I would die if someone brought me a sloth (my absolute favorite as well). What a wonderful guy!

You may be in the right area! Anna is in Chicago, and the sloth came from a wildlife conservatory north of there. I'd be happy to get the details for you if you'd like.

I actually lived in Chicago for 7 years (just moved about 3 hours west) and I nannied these 2 awesome little kids. The little girl was having a birthday party and decided to have a zoo party bc they bring all these cute little animals and a sloth was one of them...she told me she did it just so I could come and pet it. (Kids are the BEST!) - my dream is to go to the sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica...I would likely die of joy haha

About an hour from me is a Kangaroo sanctuary, and it claims to be the largest grouping of wild kangaroos outside of Australia. It's a delightful place. They also have a small deer-like animal called a Dik Dik which is possibly the coolest ever member of the deer family.

That sounds wonderful! Kangaroos are some weird "little" creatures. Dik-Diks are quite funny little things! So cute!
