Orchids Show at the Promenade - pics heavy!

Yesterday I went with my Thai friends to a mall I've never been to before, this said in the context of there being about a thousand malls in Bangkok (I don't think so, it just feels that way).I wasn't too impressed with this one. If nothing else, it deepens my appreciation for my local mall, which is also in the same so-so category (meaning low to mid-society, but aspiring to hi-so) but which however sports a layout and attitude that makes you feel like you're shopping at Harrods. With those thoughts in mind, I stumbled upon an orchid show that opened the week before and will end this Sunday. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I shut my trap up.

Hi Shannon, you're very welcome. Vandas are always in season here in Thailand, if on a whim you need something big and brass, colorful and in your face, then go to the market and grab a couple. I guess one of the reasons expats living here are in a hurry to get themselves situated in big houses is to have room for plants (and aquariums, koi ponds, 4legged pets, list is endless)! How many times I've been tempted to move to a bigger place for exactly the same reason...

btw, we're having the first rain of the season, it's pouring as I type (and take a pause for pic),it's supposed to be laundry day (which means wet laundry to be hung out to dry later on) but for the moment the orchids are having the run of the balcony.
