We've had some rough threads here which received a lot of posts. Now, however, we have something to celebrate. Marty is back! I hope that others will post here so we can let Marty know both how much he was missed and how happy we are that he is back! I, for one, am truly pleased.

Welcome back Marty, I hope all is well with you.
I'm newish here, so please forgive me for asking--who is Marty?? If I become a forum supporter, are you the one who gets the money? Will that be helpful in keeping this wonderful site going? I don't usually launch my credit card information off into cyberspace without knowing a little bit about where it's going. I'd be very happy to become a supporter, but could I have a little more information please? I'm really enjoying this site and would be happy to support it financially if I could just know a little more. Thanks and welcome back, whoever you are!

I want to "like" these messages but can't figure where to do it as before. Guess I also should know about Marty and his seemingly important status on this wonderful site. So despite my ignorance I'll also welcome him back!

Marty is the owner/administrator of the Orchid Board. Various life encroachments apparently forced him to be away for a while, and it was his unfortunate, though understandable, absence which indirectly led to the recent problems we've experienced here. Likewise, it is his return which has resulted in the various background upgrades which are getting the Orchid Board rebuilt and recovered. Right now we're seeing some short-term minor issues which are a result of the rebuilds, including the presently missing "LIKE" button, which I hope returns.

Despite the various outside (outside the OB) issues Marty has been dealing with, as soon as he learned of the state of the OB he came back and dove head-first into the complex tasks of getting the OB taken care of.

Given the importance of the OB to so many of us, I feel that we all owe Marty our thanks for his great efforts. On a more important tone, however, I sincerely hope that Marty is personally hale and hardy, and all is well for him.
