Conflicting light requirements on ogliophyllum. Higher than Catt. light would be a problem. Anyone already grown either?

The nice thing about Ecuagenera is that if they miss your area show, you can still have them mail you stuff the next time they are in the country. They travel to USA, Canada, and Europe so everyone can pre-order and get the orchids.
There are other vendors, too, though.
There are many great smaller orchids. I have a seven inch bowl that has four different orchids with room for expansion. Angraecum distichum is the monster but then there is a Bulbophylum, a Lepanthopsis astrophora and a mini pleuro.
Projects are a fun way to try a new type of orchid.

I would like to participate and think a mini Pleurothallid would be potentially fun.
I have recently been intrigued by Dryadella's. Dryadella simula might be an option. Though Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia lists it as a cool grower, some vendors are listing it as warm to cool. It's $8 on Ecuagenera.... also available from OrchidWeb, though much more - $25. Glass Box Tropicals has it at $18, but says only one is available.

I would like to participate as well, especially if a miniature is chosen.
Salixx, J & L has the Dryadella simula listed for $20.00. I purchased this plant from them in October, its mounted and very cool. The blooms are spotted and tiny, really a neat plant. I grow mine intermediate, not cool temp. It has done well, grown and bloomed. It is getting new growth now.
I really dont have much space for large plants, any mini I think i could squeeze in somewhere.

Andy's has five species of Dryadella. One, listed as Easy, could perhaps fit into my growing conditions.

Here are the suggestions so far, I think. If I am missing any or there is no source in a country for a particular orchid, please mention this. If they are found at other sources, also let us know!
Dendrobium limpidum SFLguy Andy's
tolumnia thebuddingbotanist
Laelia bradei rbarata
pachyphyllum or oligophyllum orion141 Andy's
Cattleya alliance, especially oddball Epidendrum species, or anything in the Oncidium group Cody
Pleuro group, possibly Dryadella simula Salixx Source: J&L
Cody, any specific suggestions for an easy to find Cattleya alliance, Epidendrum and/or miniature Oncidium that you would like to suggest as an option?

I might be interested...Depending on the plant. I'd lean toward small also.

I might be interested, but I am concerned that a miniature requires much more attention than a larger plant. Just how small is miniature?
My favorites are anything with a nice fragrance.

I think something on this website defines miniatures as less than 6 inches not including the flower spikes or something like that. I don't believe there is any really strict definition. I don't think they necessarily require more attention than larger plants. Although some of them will need more attention, some will also need less. It really depends on the species and your growing conditions.
