I really don't know what to say as I haven't done anything particularly interesting.
Due to national holidays this weekend and the next are 3 days weekends.
I've been resting, playing my guitar, watering and moving some plants from the outside in the evening and get them back to the outside in the morning because we are having really cold weather, i.e., freezing and frost by night and low 50's during the day.
I know some of you might laugh when I say this is too clod but for us here it is extremely cold.
The days have been sunny with a 100% clear sky so I'm also moving my anceps during the day to get the most of this sun, since it has a new growth.
So, basically, nothing new.

Well, I think it's interesting. I'm impressed with anyone musically inclined! Plus, I didn't realize it got cold there.

Yes, it gets cold, especially at night. We have the two extremes during the year.

How nice to see this thread being resurrected! Thanks. And a Happy Orchid Sunday to all!
Today was, for me, a very pleasant one. For the first day in a good while I was able to sleep in a bit, which was a delight. The day started with checking my plants, and I was delighted to discover four new flowers opened on my peloric Phal equestris. One bloom is on a spike which has been in virtually constant bloom for about two years, and one on each of three branches of a newer spike which has bloomed for about six months. Once up, fed, and plants watered I met a delightful lady I've been seeing for a few weeks at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I wasn't expecting to see much in the Orchid House but was delighted to find they had at least 100 different species and hybrids in bloom. Patrice doesn't know much about orchids and was excited by both the various forms and also the amazing fragrances. We then walked a bit through the gardens. This is, as an aside, a lady I hope to have the pleasure of spending a lot more time with, and I'm crediting her with the blooming of my equestris.
Home after, I've again watered the mounted plants and have settled in for an evening of NFL.
I hope that others have had as nice a day!

Today I woke up and watered orchid mounts. Then I combed out Monster, who had a bath last night, and bathed Miracle.
Then we went to the annual Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue picnic. It's held at Deer Creek Animal Hospital, owned by Suzanne Higgins, DVM, who takes care of the rescue animals. She also lets VSGSR animals stay there at no charge if there is room in the kennel. Sometimes there is a scramble before holidays to get the dogs into temporary homes, and I've met a lot of neat foster dogs that way.

Above are some dogs. The one with tongue hanging out is my Monster. Behind him is his brother Miracle. The dog in the foreground is Meghan, their sister from the same litter. Five littermates were at the picnic today.
I brought home Lulu to foster. She's a mix of something or other. She's been adopted out several times, but has nipped people, so they returned her. I get a lot of the bite dogs. Almost all of them can be retrained and be placed in a new home.

I will post photos later. There are a few hours of sun and I need to get some outdoor chores done.

I enjoyed a pleasant Sunday myself. Lazy morning, sipping coffee and talking with my husband and our son, planning the day. I think we are close to the end of our nice weather, sounds like cold and the ugly white stuff may be on its way soon.
We enjoyed breakfast together and I began watering my plants. Seems the furnace is drying things out just a bit sooner so I’m watering more frequently.
My husband has an old Dodge pickup, his project and he loves spending time working on it. Our son is usually available to help in any way he can so they have a good time together. They are always running into town for something and come home with stories about someone asking questions about the truck, wanting to buy it or wanting to see inside of it. Of course my husband loves this as this is his special truck and he searched a long while looking for one.
I love that the two of them are able to spend time together and enjoy each other’s company. Our son is an adult, our middle child and he’s a great kid.
We each need our own hobbies and interests, I have my orchids and my husband has his truck.
I almost dread winter coming though I know when the first snow flies I’ll be happy to see it, I always am. The hubby hates winter.
Hope everyone had a nice enjoyable day!

Spent the afternoon at an Opera Concert that I really didn't want to attend but once it began and to the finish it was "electric".
