Lucky day...bought some gold club spike moss from Lowes.
Must be my lucky day today. I was checking out what new Better Gro orchids they have in the store this evening. I was hoping they would have something other than Cattleya variety. They didn't restock their Better Gro orchid in a bag. I turned around and saw 5 3" pot of gold club spike moss, Selaginella kraussiana . If you don't know already, these spike moss goes for 10$ per pot, 2.5", on ebay. Locally, in the past, I only managed to find them in a tropical plant nursery somewhere in New York City, mid town Manhattan. They aren't always in season. Well, Lowes is selling them for $3.50. They look very healthy and green and dense. Of course, by next week, they all would have withered in the store. I bought two and don't really have any larger pot to put them in. I will figure out soon.

In the past, I tried to keep them in my 40g terrarium. I bought 2 5" pots for $7 each in THAT tropical plant nursery in mid town Manhattan. I was thrilled but unfortunately, they didn't really grow but not dying. After several months, they were all melted or rotted. I wanted them to carpet my terrarium floor back then. I was looking for these for my new grow tent but couldn't find them locally everywhere. On ebay, It seems a bit expensive to pay over $10 for a 2.5 pot with the plant no bigger than the size of a baseball..really.
