I am sorry you had to give up all your plants. That would be very difficult for me.

Today, in between everything else, I have been bringing in plants. I have many of the 'little' trees inside and will be doing orchids in a bit. A few of the orchids are already inside...cyncnodes, vanilla and the ones that always stay inside. It takes me quite a bit of time to organize the non-orchids. The cinnamon tree got very large over the summer and so the set-up I originally had in mind did not work.

I am glad that your dog is doing better. We have a pair of dogs, too, and a few other little beasties that keep life interesting here, too.

Bravo to Sully and you for getting through his surgery and recovery. Difficult at best to see our companions hurting but sounds like the outcome was all you could have hoped for.Can always get more orchids but our pets are irreplaceable and part of the family.

That is really gorgeous and combined with the sentimental meaning.... I am sorry you lost it. I hope you find another someday.

jkofferdahl, you're so right about the therapy. I lost my son and only child suddenly sev. months ago. Was not bothering with much until now and renewed my interest in OB. Pets and plants keep us going and nice to hear that your home is filling up again.

So sorry to both of you for your losses.

I spent much of my Sunday at our orchid society meeting. Bought two seedling Catts from the speaker who flew in from B.C. to give a presentation and bring us plants!

glad you are on the mend with your orchids (and sanity) and your pup is really on the mend! having only one window to grow in is tedious...you need to get a light stand! they work really well for paphs and phals....even some cattleyas do well under lights...I am slowly rebuilding my collection and my life, so I know your pain, but it gets better with every plant you buy! one step at a time, and keep smiling!

Oop's I wasn't on yesterday. I picked garden and then had to go to town and get some things out of my husbands uncles house as he is back in California for the winter. He forgot some things in the frig. Then home to unpack groceries and to water orchids and fix supper.

I'm so glad Sully is doing so well. sorry about you and the wife but I'm happy you are back to the orchids they are therapeutic.

DeaC I don't even know what to say but I am so sorry. I have no children so I can only imagine the pain of that.

DeaC, I'm so sorry for your loss. It must be terrible to go through such a terrible thing like that.
