Smile Spring into Orchids

Today I’m going to enjoy some “ME” time and go to my first Orchid show… its in Ormond Beach and is an AOS judged show with Orchid sale…I feel very excited and cant wait to see it even though its going to be a drive in the rain…I charged up all my camera batteries and I am ready and rearing to go …also have pockets with mad money for spending but because my household is currently in a recession I probably wont be able to come home with too many orchids but will see…

To start with here is a couple of outdoor shots of the ‘Casements’ and the river view of Granada Blvd…

Sorry I did not get the Orchids names or what prizes they had won I was just shooting for color…this last photo is what followed me home... Cym. Rum Runner ‘Pirate’s Cove” its spike is 26 inches tall talk about stress getting it home I literally drove with one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand supporting the spike thank god for automatic transmission. .…I have to say that orchid people are the most friendliest group of people I’ve ever met … the vendors were very knowledgeable and took the time too talk and answer questions and give out helpful growing advice they didn’t just shove a plant at you and take your money…I cant wait to do it again…

It looks like a Vuylstekeara of some sort to me Shirley. Maybe someone else can give their two cents?

I was going to say it's some kind of Oncidium intergeneric .. could also be a Burrageara or possibly a Colmonara
