My Miltoniopsis look horrible, most of the leaves have fallen off. That leads me to another question as to the ones who have lost all or most of their leaves, should I cut back on water with no leaves to use it ??

There's two different schools of thought on this: a. the roots do need to stay hydrated, but in the absence of leaves, there is little/no transpiration going on. If the media was moist during your high temps, it's possible you may have effectively "cooked" the roots as well; adding additional moisture to the mix can hasten decay/rot in the root zone.
b. cut back on the water, almost to the point of bone dry media, BUT increase the humidity to the 60-80% range; there should be little (<5% change in the humidity) between day and night--regardless of temps (provided nights stay about 50F)
Personally, anything that is down to only bulbs, I'd remove from the pots, inspect the roots (and probably trim back) & put in clay pots with no media; provided with warm temps, air flow and humidity, most should throw new roots (similar to receiving bare root plants when importing)
Just my $.02,
Adam

Well, finally got some much needed rain... accompanied by high winds that took down a chain, breaking a bunch of pots, and broke the newest and in sheath pbulbs off two young first time bloomer Catts. That appears to be the worst of the damage at the moment, we'll see what the nest few days show. A couple of my seedlings were rather squished and buried.
On the bright side, my rescue Trichocentrum that's spiked I thought was sure to be de-budded. It and its spike appear undamaged.

Wow.......lucky you. Mine that were budded blasted their buds and even whole spikes
Oh, sorry. That sounded a little callous saying lucky you because one plant is ok. I do feel for you with the ones you lost.

That's fine! My damage is certainly minor compared to yours. The sunburn from the loss of a tree a month ago is actually worse (I think at this point) than the damage from the drop. So far so good on the babies. And the broken off sheaths are on mericlones, so I *should* know what they'll look like.
I was sorry to read of your damage. I hope they're busy recovering for you now.

Most are showing signs of recovery.......some new growths.....all except the oncidiums. I think I am going to lose all of them.
