Someone told me there is someone selling orchids not that far away from me- three hours. I didnt know we had any selling orchids in my country, so I was thrilled.

Roadtrip on saturday, and I had these cuties with me home. Lol, I hate shopping clothes and make up- I dont care about neither of that- so thats my excuse to spend money on plants instead😎

Anyway:

And the box contains:
Paphiopedilum Venustum
Paphiopedilum Tonsum
Paphiopedilum maudiae vinicolor schwarze madonna
Phalaenopsis Species Uni Leiden (no idea how this one looks)
Phalaenopsis Hieroglyphica
Phalaneopsis Liodoro (in spike)
Phalaenopsis cornings violet (in spike)
Cycnodes wine delight
Catasetum pileatum Pierre Couret x pileatum Red Pena HCC/AOS
Catasetum Fimbriata golden horizont
Catasetum Susan Fuchs Sun Face
Catasetum Sanguineum (small one)
Psychopsis Mariposa 'GV'
Schoenorchis Fragrans
Dendrobium Munificum
Dendrobium Stratiotes (kinda small)
Dendrobium Specatible (small one)
Brasiliorchis schunkeana
Bulbophyllum Macranthum
Bulbophyllum Rufinum

I gave the Schoenorchis a new home

This is the Uni Leiden

I like the leaves and the roots. No- I think I love them😎

If anyone want me to post picture of any of them, just let me know

I just have to say it was an amazing roadtrip. Not only did I find orchid-plants in my country, (and that was really a joy) but the lady was soooo freaking awesome- in every way. Like meeting someone and feeling you have known them for a long time.

So, I have had a really lovely weekend☺️

And no, I dont feel guilty for buying all those cuties. I feel really happy😎
Lol- my hubby commented space though. But I have always room for more plants😂

I'm sure we'd all enjoy seeing pix of the blooms on a great variety of plants. The Shoenorchis looks wonderful on that stick mount-very imaginative of you and an idea I may have to steal! There was a big show in Pennsylvania over the weekend and I bought 4 only.Glad you found a vendor, gave them business and came home happy!

Thanks DeaC- and of course- steal any idea you like. Lol, I find things on internet all the time that makes me inspired- and in this forum.
I needed to keep it a bit higher on humidity, but not too wet- so tried that. My hubby didnt like me taking the whiskey-glass (I believed it was cognac- doesnt matter though, cause I dont drink neither😜&#128514. But he liked it when he saw the result.

I will of course post pictures when they bloom

I cant buy 20 every time I am there My wallet would hurt then. But I was so happy, and had some money saved

I am really enjoying them😃

Repotted some of the dendrobiums. Roots and everything looked really nice- healthy and lots of new tips. Not many roots on the spectabile- but its growing new growths- looking good

I also repotted the brasiliorchis schunkeana- because it was really tight in the pot. Making new growths and I wanted them to have room to grow more.

Repotted two phalaenopsis, and mounted one of the bulbos.
All plants had really healthy roots, and I could have waited with repotting them.

The lady I bought them from take really good care of the plants. It was nice and clean in the greenhouse and plants looking healthy.

I keep melting holes in the pots- but I forgot to buy small saucer to have underneath. (My hubby really dont like if I destroy everything with wet pots&#128540 Put them in a glass container. Decided they looked really happy, added some gravel and water to keep humidity higher.

Havent repotted the stratiotes. Media looks nice underneath, and I am afraid to mess with it. Not much experience with dendrobium. (The other looks more like bulbos, not afraid of those&#128526

And the bulbo macranthum

I might put it in a smaller pot- just to keep it from falling. Gonna see if it likes it like this or not.

It's a very lovely lady who started in 2014, Solheim Gartneri. She import from different vendors, schwerter is one of them.

Not only has she studied plants, (master-degree), but you can tell she is passionate about plants. A really nice and service-minded lady She's awesome☺️

Nice haul. The one with those spotty leaves is so nice.
