One never knows. You would think in a small town they would be happier. I think it was just the luck of the draw.

Let's see what happens with FedEx. I placed a Hausermann order Jan 29 of this year. I told them I was in no rush, and they should ship it whenever they thought the weather would be OK.

FedEx picked it up in Villa Park, Illinois, today at 4:37 pm (about a half hour before I write this.) According to the US Weather Service, right now it is 54 F / 12C in Villa Park. Tonight's low there is predicted 45 F / 7C. I won't tell you what my weather is like; I'm trying to be kind.

I hope my shipment doesn't also decide to take a cruise to Alaska.

Good luck. I should know where it goes but I have forgotten. I know all FedEx air freight goes to one place then out from there. Is it Memphis? I just can't remember. I ship out wild game during hunting season all over the US. And we ship it all FedEx, there pretty good about it. We don't have to many mess ups.

What I like about FedEx Ground and Home delivery is the time-definite service. Here's the service map for packages shipping from me; it's available to anyone:

As of this morning, my package left the original FedEx facility at 3:40 am today, is in Carol Stream, IL, and scheduled to be delivered Thursday, March 17 by the close of business.

Well, no updates today. It still shows my package left the original FedEx facility at 3:40 am yesterday - no more information. I hope it didn't go out for a cigarette and decide to try and find someplace open for a beer and a bratwurst sandwich.

I find that if it is on a truck being driven straight to the post office/closest sorting facility, there is no new information until it arrives and gets scanned. I think of it as a good sign. It will probably be delivered tomorrow, just on schedule.

Now it says the package arrived at the Phoenix facility at 5:13 pm tonight. It should arrive during business hours tomorrow. Hope they don't do any fire drills or evacuation practices.

At least it didn't take a detour through Alaska. That adds 2 days
