Another Fantasy Orchid Haul
My Yearly Fantasy Orchid trip came a little early this year I heard they were going to be stocked for Valentine's Day and that they were having a special where if you spent $60 you were able to choose a free cattleya, oncidium, or dendrobium. I was able to get three freebies bc I went big lol it's the only nursery in CO and I try to go only once a year. An employee, Hannah was amazingly helpful and her enthusiasm of orchids definitely helped me fall in love with almost everything she showed me lol. So here is my list: Enc. cordigera x Epi. randii (in spike), Rhychostylis gigantea 'Spots' x Rhychostylis gigantea 'Makesuranalee' (seedling), Phal. Wiganiae, Sarcochilus Cherie 'Scarlet' x Sarcochilus Cherry Siren, Neost. Baby Angel, Pot. Dick Smith 'Paradise' (in bud), BL. Yellow Bird (in bloom), Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' (in spike x2), and my freebies... Den. Burana Doll NO.7 (in bloom), LC. Little Fortune 'NN' (in spike), LC. Blazing Sun 'NN' (in spike). . The Phal is looking a little rough.

Damn!! I am still mad at myself for not getting that yellow bird last year when I was there. So jealous you got to go back. My friend wants me to come back down this year to Denver but I am just not sure I'm up for it.
Both the plants I got from them are doing good and both bloomed for me so that is a plus. I really liked being able to go back in where they keep all the orchids they house for people and see allot of blooms I only see in pictures. They are so much different in real life.

Thank you everyone the yellow bird was definitely on my wish list for a long time, I am so happy to have it now. I haven't been able to smell a fragrance bc I have been working nights. So hopefully come Tuesday night I can try to see about detecting a fragrance. No-Pro-mwa, they finally took me down to see the boarding section this visit in order to show me a huge den. spectabile they had for sale. They had so many wonderful orchids in flower back there 😱

Great plants! And a pretty, decorative white glazed pot too.
