If you ever visit Wasington DC, you should visit the US Botanical Garden, located near the US Capitol building. It is not nearly as large as Kew, but it is a very nice place to spend an hour or two wandering around the place. In the winter, my wife and I like to hop on the Metro and go there with books and spend a few hours on a bench reading. So relaxing, it's warm and humid during our dry winters and it is very nice to escape the cold, especially when it is snowing outside. So cool to see the snow coming down while sitting inside a tropical jungle reading a good book.

Really looking forward to the London trip where I can enjoy all of my addictions: orchids in Kew, great British ales and Arsenal football. Go gunners!
