Question A request.

Good morning everyone! I am trying my best to save my first Encyclia orchid that I got as a rescue from Home Depot. Good thing is it is putting out new roots but my request is if anyone has a sample of seaweed extract they could send me for me to try out and see if that helps the current process. I would greatly appreciate it. Please PM me. Thank you everyone!

There are small sizes available, so if you don't like it you won't be out much.

I haven't looked it up but on Amazon might be cheaper than sending it. You maybe able to find it somewhere close to you also. How about your orchid society? If I was close I'd give you a little but if I shipped it out I don't think it would be worth it.

I just got a small bottle of kelp stuff for pretty cheap from Amazon (with free shipping). The reviews were very good for the particular product. After all I have read about it on gardening sites, I think you should give it a try.
Another way to get a sample is to try a hydroponics store. They might sell it.

Walmart carries the growmore brand and that works pretty well for me. You will likely need to buy online through Walmart and have it delivered to your local store (no extra charge), or have it shipped to your home (for a price).

Hydroponic stores should carry some brand(s) of seaweed supplements.

That's where I got mine and my root growth has EXPLODED, which was much needed because for some reason I have a subconscious compulsion to annihilate all existing roots. I consider myself a serial root murderer
It was a bit pricey but if you do the math (which I don't because my mathematical ability is non-existant) it's actually relatively inexpensive because only a small amount is needed... I can't recommend kelp extract enough for people who want/need to give their roots a boost
