I agree with the previous post that Paph. vietnamense is the best foliage of any orchid I own. Paph. Ho Chi Minh also inherited that gorgeous foliage.

This has been interesting. I am a foliage girl, so I love to have an idea of what has nice foliage all the time. I really want that Paph now and the others are gorgeous. I saw a couple I really liked on that link Paul showed as well. Hmmm. Now where to put them?

My favorite orchid for its foliage is Angraecum magdalenae. The leaves curve and open up very nicely and it looks very elegant and graceful. It could pass as a foliage houseplant (likely the only one I have that actually could).
If we are going to mention non-orchids, I think the cinnamon tree is my favorite for foliage, followed by the Allspice tree. Both have lovely, fragrant leaves. Third is the Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper) with its pretty, heart-shaped leaves.

Honestly I love my dendrobium kingianum when it is out of bloom. It's one of the nicest looking plants that I have when it is out of bloom. The rest look weird.

My dendrobium antennatum has wonderful and thick succulent leaves that have nice shine and light color, and I love its foliage as well.

Then dendrobium cucumerinum has those funny little pickle leaves.
I love it! Though I don't have one yet.

Maybe they're not the "prettiest" by most people's standards, but I am proud to show off my dens in and out of bloom.

My mottled leaf paph. I grow it just for the foliage. My second favorite is probably lepanthopsis atrophora. It's cute all around.

Oooh, I'd forgotten the L. calodictyon! Thanks for reminding me!
It's nigh on impossible to find around here, been wanting it for years.

Maybe a little unusual bud i like the powdery leaves of rhyncholaelia digbyana and Prosthechea citrina, both have that blue-ish tinge to them, with that 'frosted' coating. And of coarse how the plant is grown, well kept, and loved plants look so much prettier then neglected ones that are hanging on to life.
