Unhappy

Hi guys,

The pot.s name is Exotic Jewel ‘Gemini’ (Brassavola x Cattleya x Laelia x Sophrinits) is that potinera or potinara?.. More seem to come up under potinara. So far I have not been able to find a care sheet for potinera or potinara. I have learned that this plant was or is a hybrid mess…! (I will definitely pay attention to the parentage before I buy another hybrid) it seems to be the Sybil of the orchid world… as I was not able to find a website that was devoted to potinara’s I just had to research each parent separately I’m a little familiar for the first 3 but the Sophrinits was new to me (basically everything is still new to me). Correct me if I’m wrong (somebody please do..!) That this plant this simple innocent looking plant seems to want these growing conditions: It wants light like a cat but then not to much it wants to be wet but then dry it likes to be warm but it also wants it to be cool. I went back to the website to where I ordered it from and looked under there own care guide but they have no suggestions for this one. So in conclusion I just went ahead and planted it in a wooden raft. The weather here is so up and down that I try to pot the plants so that they will survive if it rains for days or if the sun becomes 100 f. Its sooo hard to keep everybody happy….
