Actually that is the nurseries section of one local market – which thankfully is only a bus ride away. However not so thankfully it’s the place where I come to get stuff to hoard up my orchid collection, weekly but now becoming bi-weekly (bordering on tri…) There’s always something that catches my eyes on the way out, which necessitates a decision to make on the way home “oh shuck, now I’ll have to go back tomorrow to get that cute little thing before someone else gets their paws on it!”
My orchid-altar at home is installed (read hung) out on my balcony.

Even though the balcony does double duty as a clothes-drying area (understandably life gets quite “hectic” on laundry days) I feel quite “bourgeois” compared to many folks on this forum, such as theloyalphum, who make do with a 5-foot window sill. Well, as long as we can get lost in it (whether metaphorically or physically), it doesn’t matter how big or small…
