You guys are awesome. I would take any orphans that need homes. Family already told me the first thing I am going to get is a temperature alarm. If you are all feeling generous when the weather breaks I would be very grateful. Thank you so very much for making my day a bit brighter.

I'm so sorry to read this. Kind of puts in perspective the unusual cold we've been dealing with here in Florida- as bad as it is for us (and our plants), it's less than nothing compared to what you have to deal with. I hope more of your things than you may think have survived.
What do you grow? So that if we find something extra or dividable, we'll know if you may like it. Maybe some of the non-orchids can be replaced this way too.

No, I didn't specially insure the plants as they are just my hobby, not a business. I grow Catts, Onc, Paphs, and Bulbos mainly. Had a couple dozen varieties of Hoya, a beautiful Jade that was about to flower, some cacti and succulents. I had a nodosa that had over 50 growths!

It's guite annoying. Sorry for you.
This why I didn't build greenhouse even in small tanks you should have both of everything: double heating units, double filter for fish aquarium. And for green house generator is a must! Usually you apply all the double units to half of what you need. Then if one goes boom or even I don't now someone trumple on the power cable on the way out and disconnected it you will have half of your ideal supplies but at least the change wont be to extreme.

A bit away of the topic. In my country at any pet store guppies will cost 1$. But i searched for the supplier who actually selling for singles and it cost only 0.258$ could you believe it?! For me it just theft. Not even mentioned that you have there 1000 to chose from and not 50. And above of all they are in separate aquarium for each species they don't mix like in the stores. But man aquarium are to expensive every where 500$ for 200 liter. I think that the older lamps did just fine after all they not really changing the system that much but every thing is just a ridiculous extra😃😣

It was a Jade plant. It kind of grew like a bush. Never heard it called a jade vine.

That's awful *hugs*
But, OB members rock! I have seen in the past when a situation like this has occurred, many members step up with offers to send plants
I, too, will probably have some to share with you later in the year (if I get to the dividing I want to do!)

Thank you, Sonya. I finally had a few plants that were big enough to divide and was going to be sharing them with a couple of forum members this summer. Guess that is going to have to wait now.
