Using classifieds to find specific orchids - how well does it work?

Hey everyone!

I am trying to find specific orchids by posting in the classifieds (Miltonidium Bartley Schwarz "White").

I'm just wondering how successful you guys have been in using these for buying and selling plants, or if you had suggestions to improve my chances of finding something I would like to have.

Can't speak for the classifieds, but I've found ebay to be the best source of orchids that are harder to find. I set alerts for the ones I'm looking for and I get updates when new ones are added. I turned there after depleting vendors for orchids I wanted. Haven't checked in a while since this isn't the best time of year to be ordering orchids.

As with any time one is looking for a specific plant, it is often hit or miss. Just a matter of a the random factors aligning.
