You guys have talked me into it.....I just this minute ordered Blue Hawaii from Hausermanns . It comes in a 3 inch pot, so I know I'll have to wait for blooms.

It is blooming size so you shouldn't need to wait too long. I bought mine from Hausermann's (the 2.5inch pot) and mine came in bud.

My little guy came today. Now I need some advice. Note the loooong roots. I want to repot it, but I don't quite know what to do with those roots. All my other catts are in bark chips in plastic pots. I don't know if I should put it into a bigger pot and put all those roots in, or if I should Put it into a net pot with some bark and try to feed all of those roots out through the holes. Please help

I'm not sure what you should do, if it was mine id probably put it in a net pot because of all the air roots but that might not suit your environment.
hopefully somebody more experienced with cats will post

Those roots are fabulous!
I grow my 'Blue Hawaii' in a no 6 basket pot with LECA. Some of the other walkeriana hybrids are in plastic Vanda baskets. If you need to use a no 8 basket pot, you could always use red lava rock.

I don't have a net pot bigger than the one it's in, so I potted it up in this 4 inch pot with lava rock. I have a couple of questions. One is about how long should I let it soak to be sure the lava rock soaks up some water, and do you think I should put a little moss on the roots that are above the lava to keep them moist also ?
