Really? I've only been using it for a little while. But haven't heard the issues with sunlight.
What problems do you run into?

It turns yellow and becomes dull, as if it has worn off. I have a ceramic turtle that I painted and coated. I have found that I need to coat it every year because it looks like it has worn off.

So I can not do the ceramic pots since I cannot afford it, so I found something else. I have a neofinetia hybrid and I decided to make a neo pot for it using Kato clay. It came out really cute, my first one. I am definitely going to make more and see if I can use it towards my smaller orchids. I still need to paint it but here it is ImageUploadedByTapatalk1420010798.151549.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1420010809.217301.jpg

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422292668.553859.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1422292676.487896.jpg I have not worked with this type of clay so this was my first trial and I learned a lot. Next time no balls bc they are extremely hard to paint unless the pot will be one uniform color. Also, the clay is super hard to work with when I baked it, it wilted a little bit so I will make the legs differently. I experimented with the colors and had lots of fun next batch will be more thought out. I used Kato clay and acrylic paint and sprayed acrylic sealant when I was done.

In the process of gathering and processing the wood I use to heat my house I come across plenty of hollow logs, various barks with different textures and moss and/or lichen covered examples. The bark of the Osage Orange tree is a particular favorite, plus the wood is second to none in terms of btus per given volume.
