Personally, this won't affect my collection, I have very few Oncid. alliance plants and fewer hybrids.

So, this "proposed rule" will eliminate the jobs of US workers who fill pots with sphag.

I've never thought the US imposed enough tariffs on imports.

The proposed rule change is to allow them to be imported in potting media from Taiwan only, not bare-root. That you can do now.

Thanks but when did they change the rules to allow potted Phals from Taiwan? Two years ago I got Phals from a US vendor who shipped them straight from the plane to me and they were bare root. Are they going to change the rule for other import companies?

I can't take potted orchids into CA now from another US state.
