Nice! I go to Hausermann's often...probably too often. Their bellina's are really nice, one of my favorite orchids.

I've been tempted to get one from them. I'm in love with my violacea and I don't even see buds yet! It's a great plant! I have a bellina var coerulea that is still quite small and I'm not expecting anything from it for at least another year. I might want the other variety, for variety.

Good luck with your new plants! I have a seedling bellina and I just bought a violacea. I see all those pictures of them and the temptation was too great to resist.

The only issue I have so far, is that I found a singular mealybug on the phal yu pin pearl. I hate those things!! But... now I know how to deal with them, so I killed it, repotted, tossed the old medium, replaced it with fresh stuff, sprayed everything with Bayer Rose and Flower and I am really happy with the root system on this plant.
The violacea's spike isn't growing at all, so I was wanting to get some more light on it, but I decided to go ahead and wait it out until the quarantine period was up and now I'm glad I did.

Remember, orchids are put on this earth to teach you patience. It will take FOREVER to bloom. :|

I'm trying to keep that in mind! It's so hard! I see spikes! There are spikes! I can't wait to SMELL it!
Oh wow... I might be slightly addicted to this hobby. LOL!

My violacea was bought in spike due to a lack of patience on my part (I usually buy little seedlings) but it will still be a while. I am looking forward to the fragrance, too. Should be nice.

That's why I bought mine in spike too. I wanted one thing to look forward to in the near future.
