This is not the typical winter. Once the Big Lake freezes out a way, then I would agree with you. But a long grey winter so far.

I too am also sick of winter, and the sad part is there is still at least 2 more months dealing with cold temperatures. It has also been a mostly overcast winter here in Chicago. And these are not lake effect clouds because the prevailing westerly winds blow the clouds and precipitation towards the eastern shore of Lake Michigan away from Chicago. Some of my orchids are also feeling the winter blues but others are still growing as if it were summer.
