Hi again,

As further proof of my addiction, I thought I'd put up two of the desktop wallpapers I made a while back using ONLY MS PAINT. No Photoshop EVER...all you need is a clear vision in your head (these are not actual cultivars) and being a good mouser. In my case, a left handed mouser.

With only MS PAINT, you can do almost anything, including honing parts of the image you are creating, pixel by pixel should you want.

Oh dear! I uploaded them and they did not appear! I then checked and both bmp files exceed the size allowed! hold on, I will try to make them smaller.

K, I need to make them even smaller, and I cut both by half already.

K, I made them both jpegs and then even smaller; not sure if they will even be visible but here goes......

JMNYC that's pretty cool... Now where is some of your real orchids... Just teasing you. Its great you can create like that.

I am deeply flattered, thank you. But I did it for fun. It was very Zen. Bet you could do it too!!!!! Bet any orchid addict could! Never underestimate the potential of a free and pragmatically perfect app like PAINT!

I did another one called Two Laelias (pink).....it turned out very lame, tho I kept it. I would be happy to send those two to anyone interested!

No need to fiddle with them, I have them with different placements and background colors....but I always use black, made the others at the request of friends. And, if you make yr desktop black it all works perfectly on matter the proportions of yr screen.

Edit: I get you were playin....but truth is, I already have put up several pics of my actual orchids.:)

VERY lovely! For me, esp given it appears to lean more toward peach than pink. I have a standard one, pale pink with nice webbing....very reliable bloomer. But no way as charming as your mini.

Thanks! I have one that is very similar, but it doesn't have these clearly defined lines and is very pink. I love pink, but this was different because it was much more vibrant and instead of a wash of color in the center of the bloom, there were these clearly defined veins. It was in the back corner of the display and it still managed to catch my eye. :)

Indeed! I relate to your eye! Hold on, instead of getting work done, I will now look for images of mine....along with most of my Phals it bloomed at the usual time this past winter.

K....found a not so good one, but you will get a good idea. If I try to make pics of them all at the same time, I can't get far enough away from the table to get them all in, so I put them in groups of 3-4.

The only shortcoming of mine, and believe me, I ain't no kinda ingrate, is the flower placement on the inflorescence could be better. But all of my Phals were found in the trash of this building....either by me, or by our staff guys.

Simply watch for some point at which you are moved to start giving away yr furniture to make more room to grow.

Oh dear. I found a solution, at least temporarily, for space on the balcony, so no need to sell furniture yet...http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/28/nuvahupu.jpg

Dangerous tho... And I repotted some cattelya and chucked out the cattelya I was trying to save so there is still space....
