Have about 200-300 plants, mostly miniature to medium size botanicals, of which 80-90% are on mounts (sticks, bark, cocohusk, shingles). The remainder is in anything from wood baskets to plastic baskets to plastic pots to clay pots, depending on species. As Ray pointed out, medium is a consequence of species specific requirements and culture conditions (light, airflow, temp, watering, humidity). I use anything from bare roots to thick moss pads.
I have a 90 gal cool terrarium, a 4x9' intermediate GH, and a 180 gal warm terrarium. A book shelf is converted to a Phrag/Paph holding area for the most significant other; humidity tray with pots/baskets.
I specialize in Oberonia, which means mostly experimental culture, because about 80-90% of plants are noIDs or mis-IDs. All growing areas are relatively high RH (~80%).
Fertilizer: 100 ppm K-lite in RO, once in a while Kelp extract.
